The safest family sedans to keep your family safe and keep your insurance low.
By Brad Intlehouse
Today, consumers are wiser than ever. They look for quality, specific function, and the most important
of all, safety. And this is where most family sedans come in.
Family sedans, as the name suggest, are tailor-made for the family. And in what way would a family
sedan serve its function if it does not have the right safety features installed in the cars?
Family sedans come in great sizes and make up. And because of the remarkable demand for safe cars
nowadays, the makers of family sedans might have done such a good job because they made it even to the
list of Consumer Report's 25 Safest Cars on the Road.
The Volkswagen Passat GLX (V6) ranked 1 on the list. This is, by all means, not surprising since
Volkswagen had long been topping the list of safest cars. In fact, the company had three new models
that were included on the list, where two others were under the small cars category.
In its simplest specifications, Volkswagen Passat GLX V6 offers the ultimate driving experience. It is
fully built for quick performance and very comfortable seating.
Over the years, Volkswagen engineers had continuously worked on its features and safety measures. The
new and innovative designs converged on upgrading the body uprightness and configuration.
Safety features thrive on the Volkswagen Passat, fully equipped with front and side airbags. The
company also offers side curtain airbags as optional added features.
Being an all-wheel drive that gives this dainty toy an extra grip, the Volkswagen Passat is equipped
with a Tiptronic shifter and a full functional traction control system. This provides the driver
extreme control on wheel management especially when unexpected things happen like accidents.
The Toyota Camry XLE ranked next to Volkswagen Passat. Maybe second best to some but definitely on the
top of the line of Toyota's safest cars.
The Insurance Institute Highway Safety or the IIHS, an organization made to ensure the car's
crashworthiness, recently named Toyota Camry XLE as "A Best Pick". And who wouldn't? With all its
safety features neatly crafted within its delicately crafted body, it's definitely one good car on the
road.
The Toyota Camry is in full battle gear with driver and front passenger seat-mounted side-impact air
bags, standard driver and front passenger multi-stage air bags, and overhead front and rear side
curtain air bags.
What's even great about this marvelous car is that it has Vehicle Skid Control with brake assist. It
also has a trunk anti-trap device; and other safety features like emergency fuel shutoff device, front
and rear crumple zones, side guard beams, and front passenger and rear automatic locking retractors.
Plus, this wonderful Toyota masterpiece is also fully equipped with anti-theft locks such as child
safety door locks situated on the rear doors, vehicle anti-lockout, selective locking/unlocking via
key, automatic locking power door locks, and vehicle anti-theft via engine immobilizer and alarm.
Indeed, with all these safety features installed in Toyota Camry XLE V6 and Volkswagen Passat GLX v6,
their manufacturers surely made the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration or the NHTSA and
the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety or the IIHS a satisfaction worth their time and effort in
evaluating these cars crashworthiness.
And because of these safety features, it provides more than what it can offer. These marvelous
features all boils down to the point that the auto insurance company might just give you remarkably
low auto insurance premium rates.
So, if you're concerned with your family's safety, why not buy a car that's specially made for your
family? Sedans like the Toyota Camry and the Volkswagen Passat are definitely worth your family's
future.
